Buying on Zelenberg
Zelenberg is a specialized B2B marketplace for agricultural inputs and equipment, such as fertilizers, crop protection products, packaging, and agricultural machinery. You can explore manufacturers in China, compare offers, and use our services when your order needs extra coordination.
Explore products and manufacturer profiles on Zelenberg. When you find a product you’re interested in, send a Direct RFQ (a request for quote to that manufacturer) from its listing. If you’d like to receive offers from several manufacturers, submit an Open RFQ. You can review the responses in your dashboard and decide how to proceed.
A quote shows the product specifications, price, minimum order quantity (MOQ), packaging, production lead time, payment terms, delivery terms, and how long the offer is valid. Any available documents or certificates are listed where relevant.
No. When you buy a product listed in the Zelenberg marketplace, you deal directly with the manufacturer and sign your purchase contract with them. Zelenberg offers optional services to help with the order. AgroDeals work differently; visit the AgroDeals page to learn how those purchases are handled.
Each manufacturer sets its own minimum order quantity, which may vary by product, packaging, or customization. Check the product listing for an indication; the manufacturer will confirm the quantity in its quote.
Manufacturers are asked to respond within 24 hours. For an Open RFQ, the platform sorts the responses and shows the most relevant offers in your dashboard. For a Direct RFQ, you’ll see the response from the manufacturer you selected. If a response takes longer, we’ll update you on its status.
Zelenberg offers six services for orders from China: Factory Visit, Sampling & Delivery to Buyer, Production Report, Laboratory Testing Coordination, Pre-Shipment Inspection, and Container Loading Report. Each service costs USD 299 and is invoiced separately. For a managed order, AgroAgent costs USD 1,500. Third-party costs, such as laboratory or courier fees, are quoted and approved by you first.
Factory visits and evidence
It means a member of the Zelenberg team has visited the manufacturer’s factory. You can see the visit date, photos, and a report of what we observed on the factory profile.
It means we checked the manufacturer’s business registration information against its registration documents. The record shows what was checked and when. Confirmed does not refer to product test reports or mean that Zelenberg approves the factory or guarantees its products.
No. We currently use two labels: Visited for a documented factory visit and Confirmed for checked business registration information. They describe the evidence available; they are not ratings of a manufacturer.
No. A visit documents what our team observed at the factory on a particular date. Product quality depends on the specific order and production batch. You can read the visit report and, if you need more detail, request a service for that order, such as a Production Report or a Pre-Shipment Inspection.
Yes. Open the manufacturer’s profile to see the visit date, photos, and report. If you need information beyond what the report covers, you can request a Factory Visit focused on your questions.
Quotes and orders
Yes. For an Open RFQ, the matching offers appear together in your dashboard, so you can compare prices, minimum order quantities, lead times, and other quoted terms. Check the delivery and payment terms as well, since they may differ between manufacturers.
You do. For an Open RFQ, the platform automatically selects the most relevant offers to show you. You can compare their terms and choose the manufacturer that suits your order. Zelenberg does not receive a commission from manufacturers.
You can review the offer and continue the purchase process with the manufacturer. The purchase terms are set out in the contract between you and the manufacturer. If you need help coordinating the order, you can request an optional Zelenberg service.
Sent messages remain in the RFQ history and cannot be edited. If you need to correct something, add a new message to the same request so the manufacturer can see the update alongside the original information.
Shipping and documents
This depends on the product, destination, and agreed shipping terms. For a direct purchase, the manufacturer provides the documents agreed for your order. If Zelenberg handles the order through AgroAgent, our team collects those documents and sends them to you. Common documents include a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading; discuss any additional certificates or reports before placing the order.
It depends on the shipping terms agreed with the manufacturer. For a CIF order, the manufacturer arranges the freight. For an FOB order, you can use your own freight forwarder or ask Zelenberg to coordinate the container booking through AgroAgent. If Zelenberg books the container for you, you pay the container cost to Zelenberg.
Your manufacturer or freight forwarder provides the shipment details, depending on who arranged the freight. If Zelenberg coordinates the shipping through AgroAgent, we share the booking and shipping documents with you as they become available.
Your freight forwarder or customs broker will explain what the customs authority needs. If Zelenberg has handled your order through AgroAgent, our team will follow up with the relevant parties, coordinate the requested documents, and keep you updated.
No. Our work is inside China: sourcing, checks, production, loading, export clearance, and the shipping documents. Import clearance, duties, product registration, and delivery inside your country stay with you or your customs broker.
Payment
You pay the manufacturer for the goods according to the payment terms in your purchase agreement. If you request a Zelenberg service, we issue a separate invoice for that service, payable to Zelenberg by bank transfer or card.
Payment for the goods follows the terms agreed with the manufacturer and shown in your purchase agreement. For a Zelenberg service, we first confirm the request and any additional costs with you. We then send an invoice, and the service begins after payment.
For goods, use the manufacturer’s bank details on the agreed proforma invoice or purchase agreement. For Zelenberg services, use the details on the Zelenberg invoice in your dashboard. If you receive a request to change bank details, confirm it through an established contact channel before paying.
No. You pay the manufacturer directly for the goods under your purchase agreement. Zelenberg invoices you separately for any services you request and for container booking costs when we arrange the booking.
