AgriTrader Policy
The rules for buyers on Zelenberg: your account, your requests for quote, how you deal with manufacturers, and what we do in return.
In plain words
- An AgriTrader account is free. It is for a real company that buys agricultural inputs or equipment.
- Send requests for quote that you mean. Keep dealing through us with the factories we introduce.
- In return, we answer, we tell you the truth about a factory, and we never charge you for looking.
This summary helps you read the page. The numbered clauses below are the terms that apply.
Who this policy is for
An AgriTrader is a company that buys agricultural inputs or equipment through Zelenberg. This policy sits beside the Terms of Service.
Where the two differ, the Terms of Service apply.
Your account
The account is free. Give your real company name, country and work email, and keep them up to date.
One account belongs to one company. Do not share your login, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
We may ask for a company document before we pass a request to a factory. This keeps the platform serious for both sides.
Requests for quote
Send a request for quote only for a product you intend to buy. Give the real quantity, specification, destination and timing.
A request for quote is not an order. You are free to decline every quote you receive.
Do not use requests for quote to collect prices for resale, or to test factories you do not intend to buy from.
What we share, and with whom
When you send a request for quote, the factories it goes to see your company name, your country and the request.
Your details reach a factory only when you send it a request for quote. The Privacy Policy explains what is shared, and why.
Dealing with manufacturers
Be honest and courteous in every message. Do not threaten, insult or mislead a factory.
After we introduce a factory, do not go around the platform to avoid our role in the request. That also protects the record we keep for you.
The contract for the goods is between you and the manufacturer. Read the quote, and any contract you sign, with care.
Payment and fees
Looking and asking are free. You pay us only for work you order: USD 299 per service, or USD 1,500 per order for AgroAgent.
You pay for the goods directly to the manufacturer. The Payment Policy explains how, and how to avoid payment fraud.
Lawful trade
You must be allowed to import the product into your country. Registrations, licences and import permits are your responsibility.
You may not buy for, or on behalf of, a person or a country under sanctions. We run sanctions checks, and we may refuse a request.
Some agrochemicals are restricted or banned in some countries. Do not ask for a product that is banned where it will be used.
Telling us about a problem
If a factory behaves badly, or a record looks wrong, tell us. We look into it and tell you what we did.
We do not publish ratings or reviews of factories. We record facts, with dates, instead.
What you can expect from us
These are the standards we hold ourselves to, on every request.
- An answer to every message within two working days.
- The truth about a factory, including what we did not see.
- No fee for finding a factory, and no commission on your order.
- A price and a scope in writing before any paid work starts.
Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend an account for false details, a failed sanctions check, abuse of a factory, or a breach of this policy.
We tell you the reason in writing, and you can reply. You can close your own account at any time by writing to us.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. If a change matters to you, we write to you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
