Payment Policy
What is free, what we charge for, how we invoice, and how money for the goods moves between you and the manufacturer.
In plain words
- Opening an account and sending a request for quote are free. You need an account, never a payment.
- Our services cost USD 299 each, and AgroAgent costs USD 1,500 per order. We invoice before work starts.
- You pay for the goods directly to the manufacturer. We never hold your money.
This summary helps you read the page. The numbered clauses below are the terms that apply.
What is free
Opening an account, sending a request for quote, and receiving quotes from factories are free.
We never charge a buyer for being matched with a factory. We take no commission on your order.
What we charge for
We charge only when you ask us to work on a live order. There are two ways to buy that work.
- Individual services: factory visit, sampling and delivery, production report, laboratory testing, pre-shipment inspection, and container loading report. USD 299 each.
- AgroAgent: we manage one order at eleven defined points, from contract review to shipping documents. USD 1,500 per order.
- Our fees are fixed. They do not change with the value or the size of your order.
Third-party costs
Some services need a laboratory, an inspection company, a courier or a freight company. Their charges are separate from our fee.
We tell you the expected third-party cost first. Nothing is charged until you agree to it.
We pass these costs on at the price the provider charges us. We never add a margin.
How we invoice
You receive one invoice before any work starts. It shows our fee, and each third-party cost you agreed to, on its own line.
Work starts when your payment arrives in our account. We tell you on the day it arrives.
Invoices are in US dollars, unless we agree another currency with you in writing.
We send invoices and receipts by email, to the address on your account.
How to pay us
We accept bank transfer only. We do not take card payments, cash or cryptocurrency.
Our bank details appear only on our invoice. Please pay the full amount shown on it.
Charges made by your own bank are paid by you, so that the full invoice amount arrives.
Paying for the goods
The contract for the goods is between you and the manufacturer. You pay the manufacturer directly, on the payment terms in its quote.
We are not a party to that payment. We do not hold deposits, act as escrow, or release money on anyone's behalf.
Under AgroAgent, we follow up the transfer and pass on the factory's receipt of the money. The money itself never passes through us.
Protect yourself from payment fraud
We never change bank details inside a message, a chat or a phone call. A manufacturer's bank details come from its contract and its proforma invoice.
If anyone asks you to pay into a new account, stop. Write to us before you send any money.
Late or missing payment
If an invoice is not paid, the work does not start. We keep an unpaid invoice open for 14 days, then cancel it.
A date we offered for a visit or a loading is held for you only once your payment arrives.
Taxes and duties
Our fees do not include taxes that your country charges on services bought from abroad. Where such a tax applies, you pay it.
Import duties and taxes on the goods belong to your contract and your customs process. The Shipping & Delivery Policy explains them.
Refunds
When a fee comes back, and how, is set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Manufacturing Partners
This page covers what AgriTraders pay. Manufacturing Partners pay under the agreement they sign with us, which this page does not change.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. We publish each version with its date. A fee already on an invoice does not change.
